In 2003, a group of dedicated members of Peninsula Friends of Animals brainstormed to raise money to support their no-kill shelter and the 65 cats in their care. News of the success of other nonprofit organizations that created nude calendars for sale proved too tempting to ignore.
These 13 brave women of all age groups volunteered to pose for the sake of the animals. The resulting black and white 2004 calendar, "Puss 'n' Boots . . . and Fido, Too!" raised more than $30,000. The following year, a men's calendar, "Dogs 'n' Wheels . . . and Fluffy, Too!" raised an additional $15,000. Both are still available here at reduced prices as collector's items.
For 2007, Peninsula Friends of Animals has created a beautiful full-color calendar called "Cats 'n' Dogs . . . and Artists, Too!" It is sold on this Web site and in select stores and businesses in Port Angeles, Sequim, Forks, and Port Townsend, listed HERE.
